Cold and sunny, lots of ice and frost. I go the steep way up to Muttersmoor this afternoon and try to get back down again before it gets dark, keeping moving to stay warm. Sunrise is about 8.05, sunset about 16.06. The nights have been clear and cold lately which has been very good for looking at the stars. Orion is back up prominent again, followed by Sirius. I also think I can see Mars as well. I wouldn't want to stay out here too long at night at the moment and am glad to have a place to go back to.
